Watch me Whip.. watch me make this.

The awesomeness of whipped cream is just that …..awesome.  There is nothing better than whip cream with fresh strawberries or just a dollop of it in that morning java!

It is seriously so simple to make I wonder how those cans you pay for at the grocery stay on the market.  I get the convenience factor, but the way to make real whip cream is just so dang easy, and the taste is just well… no comparison when you have the real thing! It’s like instant coffee vs a great cup of coffee from your favorite coffee shop. Mine being Heine Brothers if you live in Louisville, KY. But seriously..  There is just no substitute for goodness.

You can use your muscles (no thanks), a hand mixer or a stand-up mixer (my fav). And always use a metal bowl.

Be sure to use the wire whip!  Not the one on the side of my mixer here.. the one that is IN THE MIXER!!

Always put the whipping attachments and the metal bowl in the freezer for about 10 minutes.  Things whip better when it cold.. Always leave the heavy whipping cream in the fridge until you are ready.

2 Ingredients make this decadent dessert topping.

Serves: About 1 cup cream roughly doubles. So makes about 2 cups, which is a healthy portion to drop right on that piece of pie for about 8-10 people. Or you can double, triple, quadruple this.. you get the point.
Ingredients
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
Instructions
  1. Put both of these ingredients in your chilled bowl and start whisking on med- high speed. About a minute or two until stiff peaks begin to form. Serve immediately or cover and keep in fridge until you are ready to serve.
  2. After you make this you can try some other additions…like vanilla, bourbon, rum, almond or or a citrus zest. All of these can also add to the flavor and compliment whatever you may be topping off!
